Core Principle

All data is stored locally on your device. ScanToSend does not use servers, does not track you, and contains no ads.

ScanToSend is designed with privacy as a fundamental principle. The app processes all documents entirely on your iPhone. No scanned documents, images, or metadata are ever uploaded to external servers.

We do not collect personal information. We do not use analytics or tracking tools. We do not display advertisements. Your data stays on your device, under your full control.

App Permissions

Camera

Required for scanning documents. The camera is used exclusively to capture document images. No photos or video are sent anywhere.

Photo Library

Optional. Used only when you choose to save a scanned document to your camera roll. Access is requested only when needed.

Email & SMS

Used when you choose to share a scanned document via email or SMS. The app uses your device’s built-in mail and messaging services.

Data Storage

All scanned documents, settings, and app data are stored locally in the app’s sandboxed storage on your iPhone. This data is protected by iOS security measures including device encryption.

When you delete the app, all associated data is automatically removed from your device.

GDPR Compliance

ScanToSend is fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Since all data remains on your device and we do not collect, process, or store any personal data on external servers, you maintain complete control over your information at all times.
